This tool has been out for quite some time, and I’d like to kick myself for not stumbling across it sooner. If you are viewing your installed programs in the Add/Remove Programs folder, you will notice that you may have multiple instances of Java Runtime Environment (JRE), and some of those versions can be quite large- over 100 MB.
Up until now, I have been manually removing all of the older versions when performing computer tune-ups, and this process can definitely take up time. JavaRa by RaProducts is a program that not only removes the old, redundant and useless Java installations, it will also update your system with the latest version. Click here for more information on this program.
By removing these older versions of Java, you will not only free up hard drive space, but you will also be removing potential security threats, since these older versions do have possible vulnerabilities, which may have actually been the reason for the following updates.

Jeff, thanks for the tip. I am one of those guys who spent 3 hours manually removing all of JRE instances because I needed the disk space. THANKS!
